Privacy Policy for SnapGUID
Effective Date: March 25, 2026
1. Introduction
LogicMarkers ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information through the SnapGUID browser extension.
2. Data Collection and Usage
No Personal Data Collection
SnapGUID does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), browsing history, or user-generated content to any external servers.
Local Identifier Generation
All UUID and GUID generation is performed locally on your device using the Web Crypto API. No data is sent to a remote server to generate these identifiers.
User Preferences
We use the chrome.storage.local API to save your formatting preferences, such as your preferred UUID version (v4 or v7) and toggle settings for hyphens, uppercase, and braces. This data remains strictly on your local device and is used only to provide a consistent user experience.
3. Data Transmission and Third Parties
SnapGUID does not contain any remote code and does not communicate with any third-party APIs or services. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties.
4. Security
We prioritize the security of your workflow. By performing all operations locally and requesting only the minimum necessary permissions (activeTab, scripting, storage, and contextMenus), SnapGUID ensures a secure environment for generating identifiers.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
